The WGA Strike Could Overcome the Last Strike 16 Years Ago

WGA members voted to take strike action starting in early May. Many network productions were forced to shut down over the month of May. Some streaming shows and movies have announced they are postponing production until the strike is resolved. The last WGA strike was 16 years ago in 2007. That strike lasted 100 days and cost the industry an estimated $2 billion US. Experts say this strike could eclipse that.
