We seem to take a long time to adopt things, you say. Things that look maybe a little wacky on the outside are actually quite more effective than the thing. For example, hypnosis has always been the best treatment for PTSD until 1990 when it suddenly became an evil treatment and people stopped doing it. There are very good treatments that are there and are available. And they get ignored. You need to really figure it out for yourself.
