Pair have both been commissioned to do poems around beethoven. i thought i'd start by saying a little bit about why i wrote this book. It is a a quartet, really, of four movements of his life. The first movement is 12 poems, is set in 17 70 to 18 hundred,. And then from when he went to vienna, he was born in bonne, in an outpost of the holy roman empire. Then from e 21 31, he was in his first phase of life as a virtuosa pianist - and beginning to write what everybody calls his early phase.
