Significance Without Signification

In Fire Walk with Me when Laura Palmer is in bed. She kind of wakes up and there's a dead girl lying beside her, bloodied and wet and like a corpse. And then you can see her come to some kind of realization, then she turns and there's nobody in the bed. But that's it's playing with this causal depth from which meaning arises using channels that have nothing to do with language or propositional thought at all.
