The Senate Judiciary Committee held a hearing earlier on ethics reform on the Supreme Court. Many Republicans have pushed back on the effort to subject the high court to a code of conduct claiming bias from Democrats against recent decisions by the court. Here's a sample of what we heard: This is untenable. Ethics cannot simply be left to the discretion of the nation's highest court. The assault on Justice Thomas is well beyond ethics. It is about trying to delegitimize a conservative court that was appointed through the traditional process.
