The Importance of Sitting Down With People in Their Natural Environment

For me, ethnographic research is about sitting down with people and in their natural environment. And you need to get to know people for them to actually feel confident enough to tell you what they really are doing or saying or acting like. I've actually done one of these studies, like in a bank - but it's a bank. It does. So that was giving the insights thanks to actually being out there for a day in their habitat rather than just calling them up on the phone and interviewing them. You can spend a day sat down there observing and you can get an awful lot of input. That was quite a reasonable thing because it was inside something. But this article got my backup,
