The Importance of Phrases and Images in Writing

When we start putting the words together, that's when magic really starts to happen. The next level I like to look at is kind of phrasings and imagery. If you're a beginning writer or an insecure writer, the temptation is to reach for phrases that you've seen already. And those are otherwise known as cliches.
