The Alpha Male and the Manosphere

The manosphere did not invent the concept of the alpha male. It started with misinterips on 4chan and similar spots all lamenting the sex that alphas were supposedly having. Vox Day is a big part of that. In 2010 he writes a post on his popular blog that went beyond the simple alpha beta dichotomy. His work was partly a reaction to the fact that five years into the mainstreaming of pickup artistry a lot of men were finding that it didn't work.
