Are There Any Ways to Make It Easier to Build?
In addition to easing zoning restrictions so that you can get denser housing, it's also really important to think about are the ways that we can actually make it easier to build. Minimum parking requirements in a lot of places makes it significantly more expensive to build and contributes to driving up rents or all those other things. Free parking is climate disaster. If we could just eliminate parking minimums, then you would allow developers to save a not inconsiderable amount on building. And also people who, if they're not pay, either explicitly or implicitly in there in their lease for a parking spot, then maybe that incentive ises them to try getting around by bus or rail or ebike.
