Donors Contribute to the Democratic Party
Donors are not less likely to contribute to incumbent in the general election on the a side. The other big difference is on this tendency to contribute to condidia lic in term of ethnicity and iterm of gender, which is very different from what we find on the democratic side. People contribute because they geti it's like a consumption good. I'm not expecting any political return from my contribution. That's a pattern of behaviour that's very difficult to explain. Most patterns of behaviour can be explained by most motives. What you need is the candidate to win.
