In the UK, we're looking at increasing privatization of healthcare and outsourcing to private providers. I wondered how you think this might affect the quality and accessibility of healthcare service for the British population. In our local healthcare system, we've had times where that has helped to pay for people outside of the system to take care of some of the patients where there is like wait times. The same thing happened with some other specific medical situations and it's variable.
The American healthcare system is one of the most expensive and complex systems in the world, yet it remains plagued by significant inequalities. Despite spending more per capita on healthcare than any other country, millions of Americans are still uninsured or underinsured, and healthcare outcomes vary significantly by race, ethnicity, and socioeconomic status.
