Why is it okay to kill conscripts? I think there's a different kind of argument that could be run about the duty owed by a person of military age. What moral limits are we going to observe even in the extremity of war? The whole question of moral trade-off, whose atrocities were worse than others, is sometimes regarded by people as illegitimate playing with counters.
