The Effect of Context Dependent Recall on Learning and Recall
There's a cool effect called context dependent recall, which I remember learning about as an undergraduate psychology student. It essentially says that you're more likely to recall information accurately if the environment around you at the time of recall is similar to where you originally learned it. Some of my friends hated it in there because it felt so intimidating, but I absolutely loved it. There are pretty much zero distractions in the plum other than someone getting up to change the climate control settings from time to time. So you're able to get very focused on your work.
