Are the Romans Counted?
How did they count is a big question, as their system of numbering doesn't lend itself to easy arithmetic in the way that the arab numerals that we use does. And presumably they did use them in everyday speech, but we don't have recordings. Antoninus pius had such an effect on the roman empire that emperors for the next hundred years keep his name alive.
