The Irony of the Constitution

The constitution has changed a lot, but not its text. The term the queen in the constitution is defined as being Queen Victoria and her heirs and successors in the sovereignty of the United Kingdom. There's also a power of what's called reservation and disallowance, which enables the Governor General to reserve Her Majesty's pleasure. You know, there's a provision there that allows the queen to disallow, to annul an Australian law within 12 months of enactment. I'm staggering.
