The Limits of Cards

Cards have infiltrated games just to such a degree. One of the reasons why is that the barrier to entry on cards is so low. The time it takes to get from concept to playable, playable scenario is so quick. Players will read cards. They won't read your instruction manual. So i think that it is the means of production that is allowed so much design in duration.
