In the days of sory, school attendance favoured boys attending school over and above girls. Girls were more likely to be drawn out and taken out of school,. either because the family couldn't afford them going, or because they were needed at home for other reasons. But i say the kind of root debates are probably not drastically differenc in the four countries. And yetyou might want to ask about that bit later, maybe.
