How I Decided to Go to Graduate School
Deciding to go to graduate school was actually not a very difficult decision. Actually I think it's more like a cultural thing. At least at that time for Chinese students or at least at the university like Chinghua University, 80 or 90% students actually go to grad school. So basically I just follow that trend and I had a very good GPA and I had some prize and also some research experience so I just decide to apply. And actually apply very broadly at the time like I think I apply for like 15 schools, that's not a success.
