The Mystery of Pluto's Engine

On Earth, the volcano erupts magma from underneath the mantle. But on Pluto, we don't know what that stuff is at all, do we? So this goes to the, I guess, the big mystery of the mission is what is Pluto's engine? Can you build shield volcanoes out of ice? Can you do that? You know, this is one for the modulus. And in terms of what it looks like from the geography, I had a quick look at the picture and it's because it's been colourised, it's sort of red and green.
