The Importance of Structure and Warmth in a Relationship

I remember going home every day after school and I would tell my mum all the things that were going on with my friends. She just wanted to chat, she was like, what is the gossip? Tell me all the things. There's something important about that relationship and that safe space to be honest about your day. And the fact is that good things come out as well. You get the hard things, but you also get some brightness too. If they're talking to you, that's a good sign. Even though it's probably really bloody exhausting.
