The distribution of the amino acids is almost identical in the plants as the animal. Americans eat at least 80 grams of protein a day, not 40 that they need. Rice and other grains tend to be low in the proportion of lysine that they have relative to the optimal proportion. And likewise, beans are low in methionine and cysteine in proportion to what they need.
