The Grounds of Optimism
The Colombian government that just got elected gives me huge amounts of hope. They've said that they're going to have no new fossil fuels. Colombia has the Amazon in it. And so I think that we need to remember that if Colombia can overthrow 200 years of elite rule and transform their government and their society, then so can we. But that comes from the ground up and up from the top down.
