Is There a Better Way to Light Moths?

Moths and other nocturnal insects are much more sensitive to shorter wave length, so that's the blue end of the rainbow. Any street light with ultra violet light would be most damaging. Edides generally don't have evy light. They often have a lot of blue light. What we would predict would be best is if those bluer wave lenths can be reduced or cut out. And what that would give you is a street light that resembles in colour those sorts of sodium lights that you mentioned, sort of yellow, orange hues.
