Buddhists or fans of the Buddhist teaching and fans of meditation practice have to get out of the religion business. I wrote a short article in a Buddhist magazine in the Shambhala magazine titled Killing the Buddha. The logic of it is really counter to what most people assume. It's not that rebirth is a good thing. If you told the Tibetan Lama, we prove there was no such thing as rebirth. When you're dead, you're dead. That would actually be good news from a Buddhist point of view.
