I started as a runner in my teens and I ran 40 50 miles a week first of all in Chuck Taylor's you know basically converse tennis shoes sneakers. Then I ran in Tiger Anatsuka which was Phil Knight's first before Nike existed he got the rights to do this Japanese running shoe in the country. When Nike came along and started allowing people to run 100 mile weeks and 150 mile weeks it not only bypassed all of that important sensory input in the feet but you were able to do so much more work than you should have done. We now have a generation of people my age who have who have heart issues from having run too much.
