Clara Schumann's Life and Work

Clara Schumann was born Clara Vique on September 13th, 1819. She debuted in 1828 at the age of nine and began to sweep the world immediately with her immense talent. As a teenager she used those studies in composition to write a piano concerto which nowadays is probably her most performed work since it's her only work that includes orchestra. At one of the performances she gave in 1828, an 18 year old law student named Robert Schumann heard her play and decided to become a pianist.
