The Importance of Women in Parliament
She was the only woman Labour MP in that Parliament. She made her maiden speech on the 10th of December, 1924. It wasn't till 1928 that there was universal suffrage in women age 21 and over. And she was fighting for that straight away. Don't you think we should do a documentary or even a full-length film on her? I could play Nancy Astor. Yeah. I'd love to. That would be amazing. But it's starting to think I'm a little bit tall, though, on 5'6".
