The Biden Administration's Effort to Reduce Tensions Between the World's Two Largest Economies
Gina Raimondo is planning to visit China in late August. According to people familiar with the matter, it's part of the Biden administration's effort to reduce tensions between the world's two largest economies. Young Paul has been in DC this week and he met with the senior state department official who deals with China. He also had a meeting with the senior department of defense official who sort of deals with China and Asia. It looks like that sort of foreign minister visit from the PRC is likely back on the next six to eight weeks.
