It was only a few years after the discovery of deep sea vents that we started finding these animals in salt marshes and sea grass beds, for example. The ones that you find in shallow water often live very deep down in the sediment where there's not much else living. And I think they're just taking advantage of that. So in terms of thinking about food webs and how there is this sort of well established, really, really intricate balance between all living things? Well, I think we've appreciated it, really.
