Systems biology is different from what many of us are trained in, which is a reductionist approach to biology. When you put all the parts together, they can change each other and interact with each other. So i think it's also an important direction for the field as a whole, to try and meld biology and compure science,. A or a also with clinical and a data chemistry perspective and so on.
