The Usefulness of Metaphors
I was trying to make a case for the usefulness of metaphors so you like the metaphors this is a 15 minute trap for John but yeah. Well the problem with culture is that we didn't always have the technology we have today and so I think that religion was a good device because it was a good way to enforce the template of ideas over hundreds of years without technology. People are moving away from religion but I don't think they're moving away from cultural devices in other words memes are a huge topic a huge you know phenomenon on the internet and even in bitcoin people love their memes or number go up stacks at like they have all these devices that they teach others as shorthand often metaphors and things
