Is There a Difference Between Infrared Saunas and Dry Saunas?
infrared saunas heat the body directly without necessarily needing to warm the surrounding air. Far infrared sauna use typically a ceramic or a metallic heat element that emits energy in the far infrared range, which is actually similar to the sun. The benefits with the exception of the excretion of xenobiotics from sweat have nothing to do with sweat and have everything to do with heat stress.
