Do You Need to Check Your Electrolytes Every Two Hours?

If you're really, really worried about the shot down of some other systems going on because of the asidoses, then i would give bicarbonate. Verses, at least, like we have to check the electrolytes every four hours. The reason for the potassium is that oftentimes, in the biticutosidoces, they can present with high potassium. And so if i did not give them potassium, i probably will want to check their electrolites, probably every two hours or so,. Because i'm really afraid that they will hit hypocalemia and that cant be very dangerous. Hypo lemia had been proven to be a bigger killer than hypercal
