Lithium is really clear. So it looks like the dehydration and medications that affect the kidney can also affect renal excretion and therefore increase the serum lithium levels. From this, we can remember that common medications to look out for are NSAIDs such as Advil, ACE inhibitors, ARBs, and diuretics. It's interesting that this happened to Stefan given that he's taking his lithium just as it was prescribed.
