Is There a Difference Between MVNOs and the Big Carriers?
An MVNO is a mobile virtual network operator, basically meaning a smaller carrier rent space on a major carrier network. Visible has always been owned by Verizon; Cricket was purchased by AT&T most recently. With smaller carriers come less customer service, and potentially less help if you run into a problem.
