Survivorship Bias

There's something called, you know, survivorship bias. You have to think about what is it that I'm trying to achieve? What are my goals? What areMy values? Make some estimate of the chances that you'll actually be able to succeed given the cost and then decide whether that's worth it. Success stories retroactively select for stories of persistence.
