Carnegie's Mansion
The mansion of Andrew Carnegie is still fairly intact to this day in the low 90s. He bought two entire block fronts between 90th and 92nd Street, one block for his mansion and gardens. It was almost a Mary Mason Jones level of eccentricity that he moved so far uptown. His decision to move that far north helped draw society further north than they otherwise would have.
