The Fed's Next Decision on Inflation
The inflation target they have, and they've had for a long time, 2%, but the latest personal consumption expenditure price index more than double that 4.2% in March,. Now things are a lot better than they were last summer when there was an all-time high or at least a 40-year high. The core is what the Fed is more concerned with. It's higher on a year over your basis, but that's expected to decline. And that would tell them that they're still on the right track. it's just going to take a while.
