King John Smith represents what I would call our true nature of pure awareness. In order for the recognition, I am John Smith to take place, does King Lear have to die? The answer is, if King Lear exists as a person in the first place, yes. But that is said as a concession to one who believes that King Lear is existent in the first places. At a deeper level of understanding, King Lear never existed at all.
