The Brain Does a Very Good Job of Making Things Solid

I kept my eyes unmoving on that curtain and try to see how that image came out of that pattern and it couldn't. What that told me was that this is a one way thing. It's not a little optical illusion, you know, where you can go to and throw. That actually has been censored by my brain. It's been removed and deleted. And so that was a very early example of what I now see is the brain does a very good job of making things solid for us. This is a very, very primitive idea, but absolutely necessary for our survival.
