Shopify - Is There More to It?
The marketing site design system at ConvertKit that I am responsible for has been a mess over the past year. And it's just not something I've been able to prioritize. So honestly, it helps me to hear that like, no, Shopify even made this decision that there was more important things in the design system right now. This feels like, as you're describing this, I'm seeing the diamond model that we often use to talk about design of starting together, going wide and then coming back together.
