It does look like he kind of goes off the rails and and makes some errors in that regard. I haven't really studied that second half of his life quite yet, but it does look to me fair to say that. Here you have a young man with remarkable determination, learning everything there was to know about poetry in multiple languages. And yet, despite his talent and ambition, something comes up short.
