How Platforms Form Their Content Policies

My goal was to understand what parts of making policy certain types of platform companies are good at, and how they kind of engage in this boundary making. What i found was a remarkable variation in how platforms formed their policies. I pulled out three different strategies that i found were spoken about most in my inner views. And it's interesting to note that platforms can do many of these strategies at onso. The recent d platforming of trump was a very context led example that was also very informed by shifting power dynamics.
