Cash Versus Equity - Is That a Good Idea?
equity is valued differently around the world. A practice that i see companies use all the time, whether they're explicit about it or whether they sort of get backed into a corner, especially in the early stages, is this notion of what i call the cash versus equity trade off. I would strongly advise that companies go into with eyes wide open and set up very defined guard rails for how big kind of that sliding scale is. Otherwise the inequities will just be very, very large and a sort of very slippery that you can never erasesoming out again.
