When you look at examples of successful leadership on the continent, where do you feel like things went right? Soh: It's easier in countries where you have less difinethnic groups. And often it happens when you a sort of consensus amongst multiple ethne groups to try and look towards the future. But again, tha, that's going to be different with every country. You know, that the histories are just too specific.
Journalist and writer Dipo Faloyin's new book, Africa Is Not A Country, looks to challenge overly simplistic narratives for one of the most culturally diverse regions on Earth. The African continent is home to over 2,000 languages – from Igbo to Xhosa, Franglais to Yoruba – and comprises countries as politically varied as post-Arab Spring Egypt, fast-growing Ghana, and increasingly authoritarian Rwanda.
