Celebrity Worship and Addiction

People who had strong admiration for celebrities were more likely to have lower cognitive abilities. The association wasn't super strong, but it was statistically significant. Previous research has found that celebrity worship is also associated with addictive and problematic social media use. But I've always been obsessed with celebrities, even before I was gay. Because it always seems like a gay thing. It's interesting because I don't really think I'm that smart.
