How to Tell Your Kids How to Behave
Parents think that just telling their kids how to behave will work. Telling people to do things rarely gets them to do it, he says. Many parents indulge their kids because they're afraid of or don't want to upset them. And so by doing that, they let the kids dictate what happens. He also talks about why teaching kids with serious language impairments can actually make things worse.
