CMI: A Secret Unit Inside the Army
CMI stands for Central Military Intelligence Center. Louis said he can't find any evidence that the unit was formally or legally established. CMI appears to be responsible for things like intercepting satellite communications and vacuuming up contents of phones. The same document we were reading together spelled out that CMI needs to remain undercover in order to survive.
