Goofy's anxiety comes out of like, I'm doubting myself as a parent. The most important thing a kid can be is under your thumb to goofy. Goofy doesn't have anyone telling him where you're doing a good job and so he could tighten up on his son. But it would have been at the total sacrifice of Goofy's relationship with Max.
