The Blue Warps of Ball Lightning

A review of the available literature published in 19 72 identified the properties of a typical ball lightning while cut. Their diameters range from one 100 centimeters, point four to forty inches,. Most commonly, ten to 20 centimeters, four to eight inches. The blue orps have been reported as being between four and nine inches. A wide range of colors has been observed, red, orange and yellow being the most common. We don't have good timing estimates for how long the orbs last, but some accounts suggest over a minute. They tend to move at a few meters per second, most often in a horizontal direction, but may also move vertically, remain stationary or wander erratically.
